FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How Can We Help?

WHO IS THE IDEAL CLIENT?

Our primary speciality is working with those with stroke (cerebral vascular accident) and Parkinson's disease no matter what the "level" of mobility is (wheel chair bound to trying to get back to recreational sports). The ideal client is someone who is motivated, understands that PT is an education on how to help yourself rather than a silver bullet (because there isn't one), and realizes that physical therapy is an incredibly well-rounded/researched approach to addressing your goals! That being said, we have had incredible success with athletes (younger or older), computer-dependent workers, and general retirees wanting to avoid surgery!

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

Nope! Maryland is a direct access state. Plus, by going concierge, you can be seen immediately by us instead of waiting weeks for a referral!

HOW ARE YOU HANDLING THE PANDEMIC?

Our priority is to protect all of our clients and our therapists. All equipment will be wiped down with approved cleaning products prior to and after use for each treatment session and in accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) on COVID-19. We wear shoe covers, gloves, masks, and also face shields (as needed). If weather permits, we  can also work with our clients outdoors like their backyard, garage space, a local park, etc.  We check our temperature every day and prior to each treatment session.

We require that all of our clients have their temperatures taken, which we take at the start of each treatment session. We also require that clients weak masks, unless there is a medical/physical reason that prevents a client from wearing a mask. We do not work with anyone who has traveled within the two weeks prior to their treatment session, in accordance with state and local guidelines for COVID-19.

WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

We do not accept insurance for our services.  This allows us to provide  the highest quality of care or our clients, without being restricted by the requirements insurance companies have in place that often limit the quantity and quality of PT services you can receive. We havethe freedom to provide one-on-one PT for our clients and to travel to clients’ homes or provide PT via telehealth.  We are also often able to initiate therapy day on the day that an issue arises. We are also not bound by a “medical necessity” requirement; PT is not only used to treat an existing condition, it also seeks to prevent injury! We prioritize your health by not allowing insurance companies to dictate when to start or stop treatment! It is possible that we may provide a superbill at the end of treatment for you to submit to your insurance for which they may reimburse you.

I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THE COSTS

We totally understand that the word "concierge" can seem a bit intimidating. The truth is, whether you make six figures or minimum wage, the faster you get back to work, the better off financially you will be in the end. If you have already experienced poor quality care in the past due insurance-based health care professionals being forced to see multiple patients at once, then understand that we give you our undivided attention to reach your goals better and faster! Prices are not as daunting as you may think either. Packages can reduce sessions to $155 after an initial evaluation fee of $185. Please call us for our first-time promotions which can reduce your costs even further! We would be more than happy to explain our services and packages and how they are priced.

DESCRIBE TO ME THE "WELLNESS" PART OF YOUR BUSINESS

Physical therapists are trained to be more than just post-injury experts (insurance usually only covers this part unfortunately). We believe that people should seek physical therapy for multiple needs, that can range from wanting to try a new hobby to proactively preparing to combat issues associated with a family history of  risk factors such as heart attack, arthritis, neural disorders, etc. ! You are already fighting an uphill battle if you wait for symptoms to kick in! We can help you assess your personal habits, lifestyle, job, and family history to think about what health issues you may encounter in the future and walk you through how  PT can  help with most if not all of them! We share your goals for a better and healthier quality of life!
